A person who lacks the Knowledge to live independently, and for whom those who brought him into existence are responsible until such a time as he acquires this knowledge.
Children are full-status people — possessing Personhood and Creativity. They acquire knowledge through Conjecture and Criticism, not through passive absorption or programming (contra Behaviorism and educational creationism).
